About Hospital
- Madras Institute of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (M.I.O.T) was established by Padmashri Prof. Dr. P. V. A. Mohandas on 12 February, 1999.
- M.I.O.T is a 1000-bedded and 90 + ICU bedded hospital, with full-time doctors, focussed primarily on Orthopaedics and Trauma Care.
- M.I.O.T is the first hospital in India which has a 750 HD CT scan with dual-energy imaging.
- It is a big achievement of MIOT that an emergency liver transplant saves a rapidly deteriorating 26-year-old mother with Jaundice and damaged liver.
- It is an accredited hospital with NABH, NABL and got several other awards too.
